So, your passing though or live in or around the Chattanooga area. You suddenly feel hungry but not "fast-food" hungry. You want a little more than just a grease burger and fries. Or maybe you and some family or friends are getting together and you want to know where some of the best places to eat in Chattanooga are.
No worries. Below I have done my research and have experience at each place I mention. Of course this all based on personal opinion and your experience may differ from mine. However, I find these places good enough to tell you with confidence to go and check them out yourself. You should be very satisfied.
Saint John's restaurant
St. John's restaurant is a fantasic place to go. It costs a lot more than most people would pay to just go out and eat, but all in all, this place is worth at least 1 try. The quality of their food, service and environment really pull this place together. It is an awesome place for anniversaries, special ocasions or if you just want to find something elegant in your dining experience.
St. John's restaurant is located at 1278 Market Street in downtown Chattanooga and serves a variety of menu items such as North Atlantic Flounder, Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope, Sauteed Sea Scallops, Handmade Butternut Squash Ravioli and Strube Ranch Kobe Beef Zabuton Steak. Your mouth will water Once you see whatever you order from here coming to you.
BoneFish Grill
BoneFIsh Grill is an exciting place to go if you enjoy grilled seafood. It is a little more than average pricing, but it's worth the money you spend. The food quality is amazing, the staff are supurb and the environment is fun. A lot of people come here on a regular basis because of how wonderful and different this place tends to maintain. You should give it a try and se what you think.
BoneFish Grill is located at 2115 Gunbarrel Rd. in downtown Chattanooga and serves a greatly grilled menu with items like Chilean Sea Bass, Snake River Rainbow Trout, Chicken Marsala, Baked Imperial Longfin and Baked Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine. Whatever you you order here will always be fun and festive. You will probably come back to this place.
Lupi's Pizza Pies
If you like pizza, Lupi's Pizza Pie is an excellent pizza place. It has a huge variety of toppings and you are looking at around 12-20 bucks. It's service is quick and friendly. The scenery isn't the best but inside doesn't make it seem like outside is the way it is. There pizza and other dishes have a flavor burting with the wonderful taste of their own sugnature sauces. Go check it out pizza lovers.
Lupi's Pizza Pie is located at 406 Broad Street in Suite A. They have a great menu with Calzones, Lasagna and Bruschetta. Their pizza toppings include, but are not limited to Spicy Chicken, Crumbled Bacon, Smoked Ham, Green Olives, Basil, Roasted Garlic, Zuchinni, Bleu Cheese, Feta and Chedder Cheese. The toppings don't cost extra. Add as many as you want to your pizza and let the flavor explode in your mouth.
Bea's Restaurant
Like southern down home cooked meals? Go to Bea's Restaurant. The service depends on who's working but is good regardless. They have a lot of classic southern tradition style entree's and they are all under 10 bucks. The scenery is ok and it's location isn't the best but it's a very friendly place and anyone is welcome. The entree's available depend on the day you go as some menu items change from day to day.
Bea's Restaurant is located at 4500 Dodds Ave. and they really dish out that southern style with items like Fried Chicken, BBQ Pork, Turnip Greens, Pinto Beans, Cornbread, Cole Slaw, Chicken and Dumplings, Fried Okra, Peach/Cherry/Apple Cobblers and Banana Pudding. Step inside and let that deep southern style cuisine slap you in the mouth.
La Altena Restaurant
Authentic mexican dishes are what you will find at La Altena's restaurant. They have a friendly staff and ok location. Their dishes are what really set them apart and will keep you craving more. The food here is magnificent and you can really tell that it is truly authentic mexican recipes. I enjoy mexican food very much and they happen to be one of the best in my opinion.
La Altena's restaurant is located at 314 West Main Street. They have an appealingly large menu with dishes including Mojara Frita, Chicken/Steak Chimichanga, Chicken/Steak/Altena Quesadillas, Spicy Steak/Mojado Burritos, Carne Azada, Chile Renello and a sample platter for varieties of dishes.
